Audio Announcements
Audio underwriting or “commercials” are available in two “sizes” or lengths. 30 seconds for overnights and Sunday mornings while on Perscadero Public Radio and the internet, and 60 seconds for daytime and “off FM” hours.
The FCC requires that all Public Nonprofit FM Radio Services Underwriting Announcements remain 30 seconds or shorter. The law further demands that all Underwriting Announcements must not have any “call to action” or description of cost or price of a product.
Old Friends Radio is the “part-time” control operator for Pescadero Public Radio, Pescadero, California. Old Friends Radio provides content and operates KPDO and KZSG from 12 midnight to 9 AM Central Time (10 PM to 7 AM Pacific Time) Sunday night through Friday night, and from 8 AM to 12 Noon Central Time (6 AM to 10 AM Pacific Time) Sunday Mornings for our all-request radio show, “Sunday Morning Coffee & Vintage Jazz.” During these periods, Old Friends Radio must obey FCC laws and rules.
All other times, Old Friends Radio can apply a longer Underwriting Announcement with “Call to Actions” and “price explanations.” During these periods, Banner Ads are unaffected as they are not regulated by the FCC. Banner Ads on OldFriendsRadio.studio are also unaffected by FCC rules.

Basic Supporter – $360.00 (Less than a dollar a day)
This level is ideal for individuals who wish to support Old Friends Radio and Classic Vintage Jazz. This level provides one on-air mention a day, a listing on our website, and a thank you on our social media.
Small Business Underwriter – $1,100.00
Perfect for a small company or “online” business, this level provides 12 on-air underwriting announcements per day (*certain FCC rules apply during FM broadcast periods), custom medium frequency banner placement on our apps & players, a banner on our website, and regular mention on our social media.
Medium to Large Business Underwriter – $2,000.00
An inexpensive, powerful underwriting package for companies that need to make an impact! This level provides 24 custom top-of-the-hour announcements per day (*certain FCC rules apply during FM broadcast periods), custom album art during your company’s announcements, custom high-frequency banner placement on our apps & players, three banners on our website, and regular custom image placement of our social media.
